Setting: The A-Team setting is our setting. It's the 21st century, and the story travels from Mexico to America, Iraq, and Germany.

The A-Team consists of Colonel Hannibal Smith, Lieutenant Templeton "Face" Peck, Sergeant B.A. Baracus, and Captain H.M. Murdock. Hannibal, the leader of the team, is a widely respected figure in the army, known for his brilliant, if unorthodox, strategies. Face is the most charming member of the group, which is a boon and a curse. He uses his talents to gain favors, equipment, and resources when the team needs them, but he can be easily distracted from orders by a pretty lady. B.A. is the mechanical expertise and the powerhouse. If they need a vehicle or machine of some sort, B.A. can probably fix it up, and it's hard not to be intimidated by his size and scowl. Murdock claims to be the best pilot out there, and he may be right, because no sane pilot would even attempt the stunts Murdock can pull off. All of the A-Team members are Rangers, a type of Army Special Forces soldier. Rangers are elite light infantry troops that are rapidly-deployable and use their specialized skills to perform a variety of special operations missions. The A-Team is a clandestine alpha unit; a 'crack commando unit' that is employed in covert operations. Their small group size, skills, and penchant for ridiculous tactics make them highly efficient at missions that require them to quietly get in, do what needs to be done, and get out again. They have a track record of 80 successful missions over 8 years.

The A-Team is set-up to take the blame for an incident in Iraq involving the death of an army general and stolen engraving plates. They are convicted, dishonorably discharged, and imprisoned separately. After six months, Hannibal breaks out and retrieves the team so they can reclaim the stolen plates and clear their names.

The plates plot centers around three players: Lynch, General Morrison, and Pike. Lynch is a CIA agent who brings Hannibal into the job, telling him that the plates are a matter of national security (which is true; the plates were being used to print US currency with no backing). Pike leads the Black Forest mercenary troop that is originally on the job to reclaim the plates. The army has been ordered to stay out of Baghdad, where the plates will be, so Hannibal goes to General Morrison, an old friend and commander of the base, to get permission to get the plates. Morrison insists that he has no jurisdiction over the mission, but eventually caves in and gives Hannibal his blessing. Since no army personnel are cleared to enter Baghdad, it is to be a covert operation. The mission goes smoothly, and the team brings back a shipping container with the plates, the printing press, and all the money it has printed. At that point, though, everything goes south. General Morrison, approaching the drop site in a jeep, appears to be killed when the jeep explodes. During the confusion, Pike and his troops swoop in and take the plates from the container. With General Morrison dead, no one can confirm Hannibal's story that they were given clearance to go into Baghdad, and it is assumed that the A-Team were working with Pike to steal the plates.

After six months of incarceration, Lynch visits Hannibal. Lynch attempts to provide Hannibal with information, but he already knows what Lynch does and more. All he needs is someone to help him escape prison. After a little bargaining, Hannibal insisting that the A-Team is his best shot at regaining the plates, Lynch agrees to assist Hannibal in getting out and clear the team's names when the plates are retrieved. Hannibal quickly reassembles his team and makes a beeline for Pike. Pike, having cut ties to Black Forest by executing his troops after the plates were in his hands, is allied with an unknown entity they call 'The Arab'. Lynch had speculated that The Arab was involved in the set-up from the start. Hannibal, B.A., and Murdock go to take the plates and The Arab, while Face is sent to deal with another issue: Lieutenant Charissa Sosa.

Sosa, formerly a captain and Face's ex-girlfriend, is with the Department of Defense. The stolen plates were her responsibility, and when they were taken from under her nose, she was demoted. When Hannibal escapes, Sosa asks for and is granted the chance to recapture him and the A-Team to make up for losing the plates, and to reclaim the plates themselves. Pike and The Arab are due to catch a train, so Sosa and her team wait at the train station to intercept them. Face pulls her into a photo booth and tries to convince her that the A-Team is innocent of stealing the plates and killing Morrison, then leaves her with a cell phone so he can contact her (and handcuffed to the photo booth so she can't arrest or follow him).

The team reconvenes at a remote boat house. Here, Hannibal reveals something that he had figured out a while ago: The Arab is actually General Morrison. He and Pike were working with Lynch to get the plates, and Lynch brought in the A-Team as insurance. Morrison and Pike, sure that Lynch had no intention of giving them their cut, set up the A-Team to take the fall and ran off with the plates. With the identity of The Arab confirmed, Hannibal contacts Lynch to confront him on why he'd never warned Hannibal about Morrison and to demand the amnesty agreements for him and his men. Lynch tells Hannibal that he'd have the papers in about 5 minutes, but apparently when Hannibal said amnesty papers, Lynch heard 'airstrike'. The bombing kills Morrison, though the A-Team escapes mostly unscathed.

Now that Morrison is dead (for real this time) and Lynch has turned on them, the A-Team's only shot for clearing their names is catching Lynch. They still have the plates, so through Sosa, they lure Lynch into a trap and trick him into a full confession within earshot of the DoD. At the end of the day, Lynch is arrested, Pike (who had joined Lynch because it was either that or a bullet in the head) is dead, and the A-Team is looking forward to being reinstated (which isn't going to happen, because they may have been innocent all along, but it's still illegal to break out of prison... and also because B.A. is on a giant turtle).

Personality: Anyone looking at the mohawk and the muscles might guess that B.A. is a tough, gruff, short-tempered guy, and they'd be mostly right. He tends to be intimidating and is quick to dispense threats, especially towards people he doesn't like. Of course, friends may get the same treatment, save the part where he follows through on threats. Even his fellow A-Team members get casual threats, especially Murdock. Underneath his rough disposition, though, B.A. is intensely loyal and protective of people he cares about.

He's a firm believer in "respect is something you earn, not gain through position". When he meets Hannibal for the first time, B.A. is willing to help him rescue Face, even though Hannibal had carjacked him and shot him in the arm, because Hannibal had a reputation as a respectable soldier. On the other hand, it has been reported that B.A. has no problem punching officers he doesn't like, and it may have been the reason he was dishonorably discharged from the Rangers the first time.

Within the six months he was imprisoned, B.A. underwent a change in perspective. Reading the teachings of people like Gandhi and the Dalai Lama led to B.A. taking a vow of nonviolence. Growing up, he had been surrounded by and perpetuated violence, and he tells Face and Hannibal that he doesn't miss that life. He wants a clear conscience, and feels that the vow will help him achieve it. During the mission to get The Arab and the plates, B.A. ends up with the plates and has to run from Pike. Pike catches up and during the confrontation, B.A. is helpless because he refuses to fight back. Only Hannibal's timely intervention prevents him from getting seriously injured or killed by Pike. Before the final fight, Hannibal tells B.A. that "it is better to be violent, if there is violence in our hearts, than to put on the cloak of nonviolence to cover impotence", as said by Gandhi, who believed in fighting for what he believed in. Afterwards, B.A. shaves his hair back into the mohawk, which was a symbol of his violent nature, and during the fight, kills Pike. When Hannibal asks B.A. about his conscious, B.A. says it is "at peace".

Despite his temper, B.A. is an army man, and once his loyalty and trust is earned, he'll always have your back. During the trial that led to the team being discharged, Hannibal tried to take the entirety of the blame so that the other three could be tried separately and possibly evade conviction. Not one of them hesitated to refuse to be tried separately. In combat situations, B.A. has no problem taking over when he needs to. Even with his vow of nonviolence, he rushed in to reclaim the plates with Pike and a submachine gun on his tail.

B.A. has no qualms about using his size or reputation to intimidate people. During the original mission to retrieve the plates, B.A. is locked in the container with the plates and printing press. This is to keep him contained while Murdock airlifts the container back to base, which is necessary because of B.A.'s fear of flying. While debating who's going to let B.A. out, Face comments that he's more scared now than when the truck the container, Hannibal, and face were on flew into the river from an incomplete road. They only let him out after Murdock promises to make B.A.'s favorite food, curry tapenade, and B.A. had stopped shouting that he was going to kill them all.

As mentioned, B.A. has an intense phobia of flying. It came from nearly falling out of a helicopter the first time he flew with Murdock, before the A-Team had formed, and B.A. has been holding a grudge ever since. In most cases, B.A. will refuse to get in any type of aircraft. He either needs to be tricked or drugged before boarding. There are a few situations where he would willingly board a plane, but they are pretty drastic cases (such as his mother being in danger). He's not exactly proud of his fear, either. There's a good chance anyone who pokes fun at him for the phobia will end up on the floor.

For starters, B.A. is not going to be happy to find himself in Keeliai. The A-Team are his brothers, and after fighting so hard to be back together in their rightful places in the army, he's going to be pissed that he's been taken away again. It's a good thing that he'll be weakened on coming out of the ocean, because he would try to do some damage to whoever he could otherwise. He'll probably try anyway, but he'll be easier to restrain in his weakened state.

B.A. probably won't put much thought into whether he's dead or not after initial questioning. If he's dead, there isn't much he can do to fix it. If he's dreaming or somewhere in between, he'll just have to wait until he wakes up or gets back. Working won't be much of a chore, and he'll be eager to make enough to buy a motorcycle. He's more than likely going to get into trouble with the police for getting into brawls.

Appearance: B.A. is approximately 6 feet and 230lbs of muscle. Noteworthy details include his mohawk and tattoos (Ranger tattoo on right bicep, 'PITY' along the first knuckles of his left hand, 'FOOL' along the knuckles on his right hand).

Abilities:

- "With a pair of pliers and a little time, you could fix anything but dinner." One of B.A.'s trademark skills is his mechanical genius. He knows his way around most every-day vehicles, and can be seen building a powerful magnet from scratch in the movie. On that note, he's often behind the steering wheel when the A-Team takes land-based transportation. Nobody drives B.A.'s vehicle babies unless he's incapacitated.

- As an army man, B.A. knows how to use a variety of military-grade weapons. As dangerous as he can be with a gun, though, he's just as much of a threat to the average human when unarmed. His muscle makes him a formidable brawler, able to send enemies flying with a well-aimed kick, and his signature pile-driver can be fatal.

Inventory: Clothing (Grey long-sleeve shirt, black padded zip-up vest, black pants, black wool beanie cap, black gloves), kevlar body armor, and a handgun with a few ammo containers.

Suite: 2 floors in the Earth district, perhaps? The open space would be ideal for setting up a workshop, or as close to one as he can get.

In-Character Samples:
Third Person:

"What would give for one chance to come back here and tell our enemies that they may take our lives, but they'll never take... our freedom!"

B.A. didn't even look up. Murdock had been like this all afternoon, cycling through every possible reference he could come up with while coated in that blue paint. As long as he stayed on his side of the garage, B.A. kept his peace. Mostly. When Murdock was doing his Blue Man Group impression and splattering paint everywhere, B.A. had snapped that if a single speck of paint got on his motorcycle, Murdock was going to end up sealed inside of that barrel he was hammering on.

This is the only downside of there being no aircraft in the plan. While B.A., Face, and Hannibal are busy getting all of their equipment together, Murdock has nothing to do but engage in what is apparently his second favorite hobby besides flying: hanging around B.A. and trying to get a rise out of him. He's completely unfazed by all of B.A.'s attempts to intimidate him. Either he's too crazy to be worried by B.A., or he just knows that the worst B.A. will actually do is pick him up by his shirt-front and shake him a bit.

Hannibal and Face walk in, and while Hannibal pulls Murdock outside with him, Face comes over to B.A. and leans against the wall. "Hey, big guy, is she ready to go?"

B.A., putting down the screwdriver, smiles and pats the metal fondly. "All I gotta do is fill 'er up." It's a good bike, and B.A. had spent a lot of time fixing it up so it'll run perfectly. He's just sorry that, with what Hannibal has planned for it, the bike isn't going to survive the night. A damn shame, but he'll have something else to work on soon enough. Namely, his new van waiting for him in L.A. With Face's help, he fills the bike with gas so that it'll be ready for their last mission in Iraq.

Network:

[Electronics aren't really B.A.'s thing, but the console isn't too hard to figure out. It seems like the best way to try and contact his team, if they're here. He goes for the video option, since he's not wanted by the military anymore and has no reason to hide his face.]

Hannibal, Face, Murdock - if you punks are here and I don't hear from you soon, I'm gonna kick your asses back into the ocean.

[Does he have anything to say to the other visitors to Keeliai? It occurs to him to say something just before shutting down the feed.]

Everybody else - I'm B.A. Over and out.

[Not much to say at all.]
